Hydration and events

Got some hot weather ahead of us. I always try and drink lots of water a few days prior. Steve, who ran track for d1 school KU for 4 years told me you gotta start drinking lots of water a few days before the event and every day after that in order to get fully hydrated. You can't just drink a liter of water 1 hour before the race and call it hydration. It makes sense. Probably too late for you DK200 Riders. Sure am glad I'm racing 75min+3 races instead of 18hours of gravel in 98d.
