PERRYROUBAIX

Hard race. Not a lot of wind, but it seemed that everyone showed up with good legs but me. From the start we were hauling, straight down to the dirt, then on the dirt attacks just go, and go, and never stop. After a lap I got a flat, I was going through a corner and a rock flew up from a rider in front of me and landed right as I rolled over it, at a perfect angle and it took the tire.

No wheel truck, waited a bit and finally got a rear wheel, they were helping someone with a flat while I was stranded. I punched for the rest of the dirt. Luckily the wheel truck didn't pass me, maybe being polite not to dust me or something, but it was lucky, since I flatted my front right before the road. Got another wheel.

No I'm riding the wheels I've been riding all winter, bomb proof rs80 shimano carbon clinchers, seriously bomb proof.

gatorskin 25c with ruffy tuffy rear, pave 24 in the front.

I kill myself for 20 miles and finally catch the group. I had probably lost 3 minutes or so. I didn't have much left after chasing. A lap or two later someone attacked, 3 guys went with him, and I either was being lazy, or just not thinking, so I was in no mans land with 1 other rider.

Thank you to INATUB. They were there handing out good water to drink. Go there sometime and eat some good food.

The course was pretty fun, I will definitely want to race this again.

Brian L. won the 5 race while Andy W. won the 4 race.

  1. you would've done better had brian been able to complete a food hand up! colavita nails the beer handups but needs to work on the food hand ups.
