Perry #3.

Not a lot of motivation going on. Lots of work and some riding last week, more work this week. They combined the 1/2s with the 3's since there were only 4 of us. We raced for a while, then during the kom Matt jumped violently, all the 1/2s followed, I couldn't keep up and when Matt cracked we were both pretty dead trying to catch the other 2. They got away. I finally left Matt and stayed within eyesight of the 2 off the front but never caught them. Road really hard and my legs hurt.

Did yoga again 8am at the 18th st. store for $5. It was really good.

Monday night ride tonight. 6pm leaves.

No racing this weekend, maybe doing 100 miler. Getting ready for the tour/Herman. Maybe something like this.

Riding.

Missing the race on sunday sucked. But I'm guessing waking up at 5:30am, sitting in a dentists chair for 7 hours without eating and drinking, then sitting in a car to drive 1 hour to perry eating and drinking in order to race 40 miles would have sucked too.

I ended up riding 2.5 hours around KC on my race bike. I really like my race bike.

Riding around I felt really good. Breathing was awesome. I've been eating 4 big carrots every day and I'm sure its helping. I could just stand up and stomp on my pedals all day and not worry about breathing to hard.

Face s till hurts really bad. Feels like a chipmunk or a toad is stuck in the left side of my face between my left eye and nose. Lots of pressure.

Stuck in a dentist chair till 12:30. No racing...

Perry Dam #1

Really nice weather and turnout. 49 cat 5s raced. There were only 6 of us 1/2s. Brian Jensen got the prime, then the next lap Kent attacked, Brian went with him, and Matt, me, Nick Coil, and a guy in a black skull kit were left chasing. The next lap Nick attacked up the hill hoping to break away from us but we stayed with him, Matt got dropped here, the rest of the last 4 laps there were a few attacks but we stayed together. With 1 to go, we were going across the dam and we had brought the gap back to 20-30 seconds. They weren't really pedaling and Nick and I weren't pulling. Once they made the turn they were gone. I ended up getting 4th, behind the black skulls guy and in front of Nick Coil.

Kent got 2nd.

Casey Buta lost his first race on his new Jamis, he got 3rd out of 49 racers in the cat 5.

After the race, I road another 10 miles or so, I felt really good, the weather was nice. I road 10 miles before the race so got 55 miles total.

Just got some of THESE in. WCS Ritchey clinchers, msrp $700, get em for $425.
